Join us for a gigantic day of fun at Portland Museum this half term where we shall be letting loose the dinosaurs which lurk in the museum! Come and see the giant ammonites and the newly discovered Portland Turtle, touch the bones of a plesiosaur and handle ancient fossilised wood! Take a Jurassic Coast family walk with the Portland Ranger

 

Portland lies at the heart of the Jurassic Coast so please do come and see the fabulous fossils we have on display and take part in a day of enormous fun!

 

·       Dig up a Dino – dinosaur bones are waiting to be found!

 

·       Handle real fossils from the Museum’s collection!

 

·       Make your very own concertina dinosaurus!

 

·       Search for the lost dinosaur eggs in the garden, solve the riddle and win a prize!

 

·       Make a plaster cast fossil with Phil Anslow

 

·       Make a dino mask to scare your friends!

 

·       Help make a huge dinosaur in the museum garden with sculptor Pat Moverley!

 

·       Get your face painted dino style!

Entry £3 per child or buy the children’s Annual Portland Pass on the day for £6 per child for FREE entry into all events throughout the year!
